An octogenarian was spotted flying through the tree canopy on Bobs Peak yesterday.

Raby Oxenham, 89, from Tauranga, proved age was no barrier to adventure activities when she enjoyed a ride on Ziptrek Ecotours' flying fox.

She said she loved the view of the Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu.

Ziptrek Ecotours director Trent Yeo said Mrs Oxenham was one of the company's most senior guests to date.

Ziptrek is open rain or shine, 365 days a year and is a great all-weather activity.
